ASN Travel Grants
*ASN Associate Members may apply for a travel grant to present an abstract at a recognised international conference.
*The applying Associate Member must be the presenting author of the abstract.
*Proof of estimate of expenditure for the registration, ticket and accommodation will need to be submitted in order to be considered for the grant. On return a copy of the certificate of attendance should be submitted.
*Only one travel grant will be awarded during the period of Associate Membership.
*The maximum value of each grant will be Rs. 200,000.
*Requirements for Application
Please send your request by email (copied to the Supervising Consultant) to [email protected] prior to the conference including the following details-:
a) Details of the conference to be attended – name, location, time period
b) Confirmation of acceptance of the abstract for presentation
c) Evidence of required cost of registration for the conference
d) Evidence of estimated expenditure for air travel/ accommodation
*Once a travel grant application is approved, invoices/ evidence of relevant expenditure will need to be provided prior to the release of funds.
*The application must be made prior to the conference. Retrospective applications will not be accepted.
*Associate Members who require guidance on doing their individual research projects can request guidance from the ASN
Research Committee and the committee will nominate a mentor to provide guidance.
This may include guidance on the research proposal, setting up of the study and analysis and writing up of the results.

The Sri Lanka Journal of Neurology (SLJoN) is the official journal of the Association of Sri Lankan Neurologists (ASN). It
is an open access, peer-reviewed journal.
The scope of the journal includes dissemination of new evidence, encouraging debate on current evidence and practice,
